FAAIZ HAQUE SENIOR APPLICATION SUPPORT ANALYST FOUNDER 🇬🇧 UK

Hi, I'm Faaiz.

Five years commanding P1 incidents on Barclays risk platforms — then I quit, founded Haque Games, and shipped a word game to both app stores, solo. Now I want back on a team running production systems at scale.

Haque Games

Founder · sole developer

My independent game studio. One person, every job title — design, code, backend, store ops, marketing, monetisation. From nothing to live on both stores — and still shipping.

Name, Place, Animal, Thing ★ Flagship

The classic childhood word game, revived and shipped to both app stores. Race the clock to fill every category — solo, with friends, or in a daily challenge. Gameplay, a 100k-word curated database, backend, phased rollouts, A/B tests and ad monetisation: all one pair of hands.

BARCLAYS · ACTING TEAM LEAD

The team lead role sat vacant, so I stepped up as acting lead — onboarded and trained over 10 engineers. Automated manual operations with Python, Bash and SQL, and ran CutOver disaster recovery exercises across a multi-tool production estate.

The pitch

Why me? Glad you asked.

01

I've run production from both sides of the table.

Five years inside a bank's change-controlled estate, then a year as founder — the one who gets paged and the one who shipped the code. I know why process exists, and I know when to move fast.

02

Unusual range for one CV.

AWS cloud support, banking production support, team leadership, and a mobile game built end to end — all on a First-Class Computer Engineering degree. Whichever layer breaks — infra, app or code — I've worked in it.

03

Incident command, end to end.

P1 bridge calls with 3,000+ users waiting: run the call, keep everyone informed, fix the fault, then write it up so it doesn't happen twice — my knowledge base scored 95/100 with its users.

04

I delete toil instead of doing it twice.

Python, Bash and SQL automation that gave every engineer on my team back about an hour a day. Repetitive work is a bug, and I treat it like one.

05

Zero hand-holding required.

Stepped up as acting team lead when the seat sat empty and onboarded and trained over 10 engineers. Then with NPAT I went fully solo: shipped it to both stores, won real customers, and covered every role myself.

06

Proof, not promises.

Everything on this page is checkable: the uptime, the downloads, the apps live on both stores. Ask me about any of it — that's what the button below is for.
